What musical instrument did you want to play growing up?

My earliest recollection!

My mom had three empty coffee cans and I want to take all three of them and a couple of paint brushes. And try to play in time with the music on the radio.

It drove my Dad nuts!

He always try to teach me how I should play the pretend drums. The one thing I couldn’t do with the pretend drawings was drumroll! I couldn’t get that right to save my life!

Then when I was about 15 years old! My mom bought me a guitar from the Western Auto store.

Again couldn’t play that for the life of me!

And forget about me singing!

Only to myself I sounded real good to others some things are better left unsaid!

It was all a matter of finger position on the guitar trying to remember where each cord is at on the neck of the guitar.

So I gave up on that singing!

Don’t let it happen to you!
